Our checker sends a real HTTP request through your proxy to a verification server (ip-api.com). If the server responds with a 200 OK status code, the proxy is marked as working. We measure the round-trip time to calculate latency in milliseconds.

A "Dead" result means our server could not establish a connection through the proxy within 20 seconds. The proxy may be offline, firewalled, require authentication, or the port may be wrong. Try verifying the IP:PORT format and protocol selection.

We detect three levels: Elite (your real IP is completely hidden), Anonymous (proxy is detected but your IP is hidden), and Transparent (your real IP is visible through forwarded headers).

Yes, you can test HTTP, SOCKS4, and SOCKS5 proxies. Select the correct protocol from the dropdown before testing. Using the wrong protocol will result in a connection failure.
